These are simple instructions for those new to the patch and haven't added plugins to their PSP before. If you have no idea what PSP plugins are or what "seplugins" is, this guide is for you!
- Check your ISO size is exactly 1,207,140,352 bytes. You can do this on Windows by right-clicking the ISO and selecting Properties.
- Note that if it isn't you may continue but we will not be to help you if any problems occur -- the patch is only for unmodified ISOs!
- Download one of the two following files, depending on whether or not you have a PSP Go or any other model:
- Connect your PSP (or plug in your memory stick) to your computer.
- Optional but highly recommended if you have one:
Back up your game save! Go into PSP/SAVEDATA and copy the ULJM05800 folder to your computer. - Unzip the entire contents of the archive you just downloaded to the root of your PSP's storage.
- The root of the storage is the very first thing you see when you access it on your computer. On Windows it's a drive letter, like D:\, E:\ etc.
- Download the latest version of the patch, contained in an archive.
- Unzip this archive (which contains MHP3RD_DATA.bin) into the seplugins/mhp3rd_loader/ folder. You want it so that mhp3patch.prx and MHP3RD_DATA.bin in the mhp3rd_loader folder.
Do not try and extract MHP3RD_DATA.bin! Just put it on the PSP with the plugin. - Switch the PSP off by holding the power slider/button, then switch it back on again.
- Boot MHP3rd.
When you want to update the patch just follow steps 4 to 7 above.

Doesn't Work for me :/ i followed every step. in the end my Themes got disabled & now i can't load new ones/the old ones back.
ReplyDeleteDude, i think u are using PRo CFW and u need to load fastrecovery after turning off your psp...
DeleteI have a dude.
ReplyDeleteThe menu is translated but not all the menu.
Are you going to translate it? Because a great menu means a great game.
Hey guys I'm using a PSP 2,000 with 5,50 gen-D3 CFW. I followed all the steps and whenever I try to get it to load all I get is "The game could not be started. (8002014)" My recovery settings are 1.50 kernel and no UMD M.33 I'll keep playing with this but if anyone is familiar with this and knows how to fix it then it would be incredibly helpful.
ReplyDeleteupgrade cfw to promethus-4 its pretty simple game ill work
Deletei did all the steps but how do i get the iso folder and do i need that folder for it to work

ReplyDeleteYou guys are awesome! Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteI did all the steps and when I try to load up the game it just restarts my PSP. I have LCFW 6.60LME because my psp is "unhackable" but the plugin shows up in the menu of the LCFW so I'm not exactly sure WHAT the problem is.
ReplyDeleteI belive i did it correctly but missed something because in the intro screen (the one in the xmb with background of the guy holding longsword, and video of barroth roaring.) it is in english, but when in the game its still in japanese.
ReplyDeleteMe to :( I'm bored of that. Can someone respond ?
DeleteTHIS TRANSLATION PACK WORK ON 6.35 PROB10?
ReplyDeleteI'm using 6.20 tn-a hen
ReplyDeletewell trying to do what written on advanced Ins.
well i hope it works
I strongly recommend that you update to 6.20PRO-Cf3 (found here - http://code.google.com/p/procfw/downloads/detail?name=620PRO-C.fix3.rar ) since TN-A is so outdated and TotalNoob no longer supports it (he doesn't develop for the PSP at all anymore... T_T )
DeleteIf you need any help installing it (it's very simple, just follow the readme) feel free to message me on http://wololo.net/talk/index.php I'm a Moderator there and my name is Disturbed0ne. I can help you with pretty much anything concerning the PSP.

ReplyDeleteFor some reason the game file is gone. I connected my PSP Go to my computer and the file's still there, the save file's still there, but I can't start it up cuz it doesn't show up. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteDid you format the memory stick? If you didn't and you made your own ISO file in the root, from my personal experience, that doesn't work, you have to use the file made for you when you format the memory stick.
DeleteThanks! works great with my PSP 3000 PRO-B10 CFW XD
ReplyDeleteIt did not work. I followed all the instructions then still no message popped up. Some of the items are still in Japanese.
ReplyDeleteits a shame that not everything has been translated :/
ReplyDeleteIf this is a shame for you don't use it!
DeleteIf this is a shame for you make own translation or help us finish work!
Having issues getting this to work. I put all the files in the correct spots and the "TMO Patch" thing does not come up, nothing is translated.
ReplyDeleteHELP!!
Hi! I followed all the steps and installed correctly the SEPLUGINS folder and then the patch, but the game still runs in Japanese :(. I am using a PSP2000 with 6.60 ProB10. The ISO size is exactly 1,207,140,352 bytes, just the name of it is different to the one in the image. Any advice would be appeciated. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteFollowed all the steps as everyone else is saying. Exact same ISO size but no message or translation. PSP1000 with 6.60 ProB10. What do you mean by boot the game? Does that mean start it up after you restart your psp? If you didn't then that would be why.
ReplyDeleteMy words are not enough to say how thankful I am for the on-going patch releases that you guys make on a semi-regular basis...thank you and more power to you.
ReplyDeleteAs for your question...I was trying to find a credible source of monster hunter portable 3rd patch last year and I found your blog...thanks to that monster hunter became the new lunch room game in my animation school :P we usually play in groups during lunch time (2 teams of 4 people ;) )
works like a charm. put the files in place, restart the psp and BAM! the comprehensible-greatest-most asskicking-game ever is on my psp \(^O^)/ oh and you should work on the quest describtions, some are kinda grammar-faulty

I have a 6.60 pro b10, now my question is: I have updated it but system info says 6.60 not 6.60 pro b10 unless I run CFW. It also comes with a fast recovery which I have no idea what it is.
